lovely day with mum.

well, we went to town and i got a new book from waterstones and we had fun trying on dresses together. then we went to the met because there was a couple of travelling theatre groups putting on shows and as i'm under 26, i could get in free.
the first was called 'to break a man' and it was a one woman spectacle in which the woman acting played the parts of herself and her four family members. it told of a girl in a psychiatric hospital and her oddball family members coming to visit her, including her blackmailing grandad and her criminal father.
we then saw sandman which was really good. i watched a video of it when i was about 12 in school. a cartoon. this was fantastic though! the special effects weren't much but there was a really sinister twist at the end in which the little girl turned out to be a robot, created to replace a dead baby. however, this robot had a soul because it was made using human eyes and so when it developed into what seemed to be a little girl, it had compassion and was shattered to find out the truth.
