Chez moi

Look at me, I'm speaking French!
Last night I did a lot of thinking and talking about the perfect house and I'm going to have to write it all down so that when I get a house I can decorate it in exactly the same way we talked about.
Well!
I'll start with the attic. The attic will obviously have dark wooden floors and no windows, just lamplight. Then, everywhere, stacked from floor to ceiling will be books. Old books, new books, books of every size, colour, age, genre...every kind of book imaginable. The stacks will be everywhere so that getting to the centre of the room without knocking them all over will be a feat in itself, but when you DO reach the centre of the room, you'll find a beanbag of sorts. It's the perfect room to hide away in when hiding away is needed.

The bedroom will have a huge four poster bed with silk sheets and drapes and beaded cushions. The colour scheme will be African but predominantly blood red and there will be candles and incense everywhere, along with a lovely en-suite bathroom that's all ornate and old-fashioned.

The kitchen will have none of the laminate floors and fake tiles bullshit you see in modern kitchens. The dining table will be thick and wooden, there will always be flowers in the window, pasta in the oven and thick crusty bread everywhere.

The living room will have an amazing fireplaces with a real log fire, cushy rug and the most comfortable couch ever, perfect for sipping hot chocolate on and snuggling up.

There will be a room filled with beanbags, cushions, drapes...basically a room filled with every kind of fabric imaginable, every colour, style, texture...everything. On one wall there will be a huge psychadelic painting (or maybe an artsy projection of some sorts, ooh), a huge mahogany table in the centre for chopping lines, pouring drinks and skinning up, and a beautiful cabinet in the corner full of exquisite spirits and mixers for the perfect cocktail.

There will also be another room filled with CD's and a lizard in a huge tank in the middle.

The garden will be overgrown with flowers, honeysuckle and wildlife by the bucket-load.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(L)!!
