1. I don't think I mentioned this but Spain was absolutely amazing. Got a lot closer to my friend Becca, who sadly left after a couple of weeks due to illness but it worked out okay because my other friend Ieuan was able to fly out for my final week! Highlights include: Buying two pairs of gorgeous harem pants, gold silk and pink & purple tie-dye, they are divine; going to the Sunday market and spending hours looking at beaded jewellery, fresh fruit and owl shaped handbags; writing, I ended up writing a fair bit, mini articles that will probably end up being blog entries and also had an idea for a novel that I hope I'll actually end up writing; meeting up with my friends Jaime and Daniel on the first night and getting serenaded on the beach by them and their two friends; going to a DJ set on the beach and dancing with crazy old Spanish women (the best kind of person), doing nothing all day apart from lie on the beach reading/writing and sitting at the bar talking to Sergio; a 60s beach party that involved loads of free shots, retro wigs and dancing until past 6am; eating oysters; lots of games of Irish snap; going for a meal with Ieuan and Daniel and listening to hilarious language barrier mistakes ('I have to fuck' being my personal favourite); ending the holiday having a quiet drink with Ieuan, Daniel and Jose on the beach, at a bar I've spent more time at than anywhere in Manchester; seeing the people I know from years gone by and meeting new ones :)
2. Just finished reading The End of Mr Y and I cannot recommend it enough. A stunning insight into human consciousness and quantum physics. Fascinating.
3. On a healthy eating campaign. I'm sick of eating noodles and I've found a new snack which I'm already addicted to: tomatoes with salt and olive oil. Mmm. And olives. I like olives too. When I'm settled in my new house in Salford I'm going to make sure that all my cupboards are stocked with olives, tomatoes and seafood. I can't wait.
4. I am also on a very slow mission to do big things with my hair! Eventually I want it full of blonde highlights with a few dreadlocks and shit loads of beads but because there's month upon month of brunette colouring on it's going to be a long process. My bezzie Heather is gonna help me stick in some honey coloured highlights when I can be bothered going and getting some dye.
5. I can't wait to travel. A trip to Berlin next summer has been mentioned and of course I'm gonna try and go to Spain as per, but as soon as I leave university in less than two years I'm gonna head out to Spain with my friend Steven and we're going to try and get jobs to fund an entire summer (probably about four months) over there. I can't wait. A combination of British clubs and British weather and British people is sucking the life out of me.
6. Haven't got any holiday pics yet because my camera lead is at my student house (with the fam for the weekend, with the exception of an excursion to Liverpool on Saturday for a party, woo) and Becca has no internet so hers can't be uploaded either! Booo.
